I have a software which uses crystal report 10.5. An error appears as soon as I want to print a document. “Crystaldecisions.crystalreports.engine.dll” not found. Indeed, this .dll is not in system32!

I have a report with some details section. When I try to suppress section (section expert/suppress: if =0 then true else false) report opens and works good, but when I save this report (*.rpt) and try to open - CR asks me connecting string for connecting to database; when I was connecting and saved - this report was working good. How can I fix this?

I believe that you have to define some connection info in the load section of your report to avoid this to happen. As a recommendation, you can use the link posted below to get an overview about it.

If the report was fine before, then the problem can be fixed using the above example.

The official SAP discussion board provides information about this procedure. The same problem has been put into discussion regarding the suppressing of lines in Crystal Reports. I recommend checking the board to find out more. From what I have seen, there is no direct way to suppress the lines, but the workaround suggests placing the line as a separate object.

How to convert from Gregorian date to Islamic date in Crystal Report? Is there an option that I can use?

L
Trả lời bởi Leonard Moore

According to the following official forum, there is no conversion utility available in Crystal Reports that you can use to convert Georgian dates to Islamic ones. However, a SAP representative suggests that you should go under the View tab and select the region where you are from. This might change the calendar format / language, thus allowing you to use Islamic dates. There is no other information available about this subject.

I use third party software that uses Crystal Reports and it's generating TMP files on the root directory (C:). The problem occurs only with Windows 7 (64 bits). Where could I change this option?

You can't as these files are temporary, as their extension suggests. In a normal situation, these files are automatically deleted when you close the program, but if it's not happening, you can manually delete them. You can change the behavior of the application from its configuration panel. Make sure that temporary directory is set to something else other than C:\ drive.

Version 8.5 is obsolete and it's not available from the official website. You can still buy this application from Amazon Store.

If I buy Crystal Reports and than I will create some reports will my clients be able to use (for ex. view, print and export to PDF or Excel file) those reports using something like Run Time Crystal Report? Also, is this Crystal Reports program free of charge? Where can I get it?

P
Trả lời bởi Pete Clapp

Yes, the clients will be able to export the reports to PDF or Excel files. Unfortunately, the program is not free of charge and it will cost you around $445.50. It can be purchased from the official web page. Also, the program can be tested for free if you download and install its trial version.
